Leather

Our leather bags and accessories are vegetable tanned, using natural dyes. This tanning process is better for the environment than chrome tanning and, although the process is more expensive, the leather not only has a more natural look and feel but is also more durable and long lasting.

Natural dye is less fixed than chrome dye, so we recommend avoiding direct contact with light coloured garments and surfaces to prevent colour transfer.

To best care for vegetable tanned leather –

• Do not apply chemical products to the leather as this may alter the surface appearance and colour.
• Clean gently, using a light non-abrasive cloth to remove dust and dirt.
• Store in a dry place, out of direct sunlight, with filling paper to preserve the shape and kept inside a dust bag.
